Goats Peak

Goats Peak Winery, West Kelowna

When visiting Goats Peak you are immediately greeted with a monumental concrete wall, acting as a privacy screen from the production, and acoustic barrier from the highway. The water feature out front pays homage to the old flumes used to provide water to farmers which can still be found around Glenrosa and Glen Canyon. The flume shoots water out into a cataract which signifies the nearby waterfall in Powers Creek. After ascending the sidewinding ramp you are greeted with the public area, used for eating, and of course wine tasting. Parallel is the indoor seating area, acting in the same way. As you move further along you enter the lookout tower which acted as a colossal backdrop up until this point. The first level is a small deck, jutting out from the south-eastern wing. The next floor is the tasting room where you can look over the Okanagan valley, the lake, and all the surrounding vineyards. Finally, the rooftop patio which gives you the perfect view to take in your surroundings.
