Glencaird Apartments, Lumby
The design of Glencaird is inspired by the local vernacular of Lumby while utilizing a simple and modern material palette. The hip and open gable roof is meant to echo Lumby’s historic buildings while also helping to break the building into smaller portions; a nod to the scale of the neighborhood which lies at the edge of downtown as it transitions back to the smaller single family homes. The building features 18 apartments with both 1 and 2 bedrooms on each floor along with a single parking lot accessed off the existing rear lane.
