1380 Ellis Street Music Venue, Kelowna
We worked with a visionary to propose an idea of turning an existing one storey + mezzanine into a 3 storey food + music space in downtown Kelowna. The humble space is located in Kelowna’s cultural district next to a residential tower. This project brought up subjects of what makes a downtown thrive? How do we renovate an old building in the urban fabric? How do we mitigate sound implications? What are the rights of a residential tower? How do we integrate mixed uses into a ‘cultural district’ neighbourhood?
